Summary

From Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of Roommaid, comes a captivating romantic comedy about what happens when a wedding party mixes business with romance。

Rachel Vinson is a bridesmaid for hire: part confidante, part wedding planner, and one hundred percent pretend BFF。 Discretion guaranteed。 Her next gig is a destination wedding—livestreamed and sponsored—for an Instagram influencer。 That means a paradise of new contacts, which could be a boon to her already booming business。 If Rachel can keep the very handsome and slightly too interested best man at bay, that is。

High-tech entrepreneur Camden Lewis must know: Who is this gorgeous, intelligent, and mysterious woman? Too good to be real。 Convinced she’s a corporate spy out to tank his company, Camden’s not letting her out of his sight。 But the constant surveillance is also opening his eyes to things about Rachel that he likes。 If she’s a spy, she’s certainly the cutest one he’s ever seen。

As the week’s worth of wedding events march along, Rachel and Camden are learning almost everything there is to know about each other。 Rachel’s made a career out of always a bridesmaid…but perhaps there’s a chance for her own trip down the aisle?

Pretty disappointing really。 Predictable plot and not much humor at all。 Too ansty and dealing with past emotional issues。 Why can't anyone write a good chick-lit for once? Such a sweet romance。 I loved the banter between Rachel and Cam。 Cam was a great book boyfriend。

Quick read 。。。。kind of mindless, but cute story。

This was a free book with a cute premise, and it was mildly amusing。 But it was as light as light gets and you could easily skim chapters without missing anything important。 It was sort of like a one-plot soap opera。 If you’ve got nothing else to do some lazy afternoon, why not? But missing it would be no big loss。

Omg!! This book was amazing!

Got on Amazon first reads and it was not worth reading。

3。5I decided to go for a romance this time。。。I found this book to be a good escape but at times just frustrating and difficult to keep up with the main characters' thoughts and mood changes in the middle of conversations。 Ended as expected but just too quick and easy。 3。5I decided to go for a romance this time。。。I found this book to be a good escape but at times just frustrating and difficult to keep up with the main characters' thoughts and mood changes in the middle of conversations。 Ended as expected but just too quick and easy。 。。。more

This was a good book, perhaps more enjoyable if i didn’t listen to more than half of it as an audio book。 Idk if audiobooks are my thing but it was worth a try。

DNF'd about a quarter of the way through。 I saw early on that this was relying heavily on cliches and tropes weakly executed, but I figured it would be a very sugary romance with no subtlety。 I guess it didn't matter that I had my expectations set fairly low, because I'm still disappointed。 There are scenes where I dislike the main character (what little personality we get from her) for saying things like "The urge to be mean to her threatened to overwhelm me" in response to a ditzy tipsy woman DNF'd about a quarter of the way through。 I saw early on that this was relying heavily on cliches and tropes weakly executed, but I figured it would be a very sugary romance with no subtlety。 I guess it didn't matter that I had my expectations set fairly low, because I'm still disappointed。 There are scenes where I dislike the main character (what little personality we get from her) for saying things like "The urge to be mean to her threatened to overwhelm me" in response to a ditzy tipsy woman missing her sarcastic cue and being earnest。 What a jerk this MC is!The romance line is not grabbing me at all, either。 I pretty much get whiplash from the way the MC flips from wanting to immediately bang the guy to saying how there's no way she can because of her job's rules。 Plus dude's lines are very much lines and my eyes are probably going to roll out of my head if I keep reading。The moment that made me officially give up:"I think I'd like giving and taking with you。" as a followup line to how conversations work。 🙄🙄 。。。more

“You know what happens whenever I draw a line in the sand? The tide always washes it away。”I thought this was a cute read。 I really loved the plot and the banter between the two main characters。 But there where many cringe moments for me and the relationship just felt to quick。 It also started to feel predictable。

I am really sad having shelved this book into DNF。 When I picked it up, it has all the promise of rom com。 I listened to about 4th hour of the audiobook, and I give up。 The Paid Bridesmaid is full of inner dialogue。 Especially from Rachel。 I do not understand why Camden having suspicious that Rachel is in the party to spy on him。 There is no background story on it。 I also do not understand why Rachel fears that her secret being spilled out。 Maybe Miss Wilson explained it toward the end of the bo I am really sad having shelved this book into DNF。 When I picked it up, it has all the promise of rom com。 I listened to about 4th hour of the audiobook, and I give up。 The Paid Bridesmaid is full of inner dialogue。 Especially from Rachel。 I do not understand why Camden having suspicious that Rachel is in the party to spy on him。 There is no background story on it。 I also do not understand why Rachel fears that her secret being spilled out。 Maybe Miss Wilson explained it toward the end of the book。 I never know。 Miss Wilson is using a writing style that explained too much but little showing/ telling。 I got so confuse in the inner dialogue。 I bowed out。 2 stars 。。。more

Julie

Not going down as one of my favorite romance novels but was a quick read。 You know what to expect。

Kris

The summary seemed like it would be fun, but…no。 Actions happen too fast, every description was More of the Same, characters were super shallow。 And some of the plot points were stupid and unbelievable。

Monica

Does this fall under rom-com? Because it was just slightly one of those。 You can be the judge of it。 You can pretty well guess what will happen from page one。 The characters and their actions (bachelorette party games) wet pretty childish and just seem quite ridiculous。 It is an easy read if there is not much else going on。

Tori H

Adorable and light hearted。 It’s a sweet read。

Ali

This was really fluffy fun and I enjoyed every second of it。

3。5 stars。 I really liked everything about this book except the main characters “fall in love” so quickly it seemed unrealistic。

I loved this romance novel about a Rachel who owns a company where women can hire professional bridesmaids。 Her biggest rule is no dating wedding guests。 Rachel is working a destination wedding in Hawaii and the handsome best man is immediately suspicious of her。 The bride tries to push the two of them together which is complicated for Rachel because of her rule and because she is lying about being an actual friend of the bride。 It was a lot of fun and super romantic。 I read it in one sitting on I loved this romance novel about a Rachel who owns a company where women can hire professional bridesmaids。 Her biggest rule is no dating wedding guests。 Rachel is working a destination wedding in Hawaii and the handsome best man is immediately suspicious of her。 The bride tries to push the two of them together which is complicated for Rachel because of her rule and because she is lying about being an actual friend of the bride。 It was a lot of fun and super romantic。 I read it in one sitting on an airplane headed on a vacation and it was perfect for that!Content warning: passionate kissing but nothing beyond that! 。。。more

Cute and sweetThis is a sweet enjoyable read。 Without realizing it, it was nice to read a romance and not wince at descriptions of body parts。 It was not necessary for the story。
